Features for Responders
Respond to Needs and Contribute Items or Funds
Responders can respond to help fulfill requests in the app by committing to contribute items or funds.
Coordinate With Local Churches
Responders will now be able to communicate with the leaders of the church helping meet the need within the app through the chat feature or by calling them. Responders will be able to easily coordinate dropping off items with the church to fulfill requests or commit funds to meet the request.
Features for Caseworkers
Submit A Request
Agency workers will have the ability to submit requests right through the app through a simple, user-friendly process. They’ll be able to select from a list of items and will no longer have to type out each category. The process is so much quicker and easier!
Upload Pictures of Approval Documents
Now, agencies that require documentation to be signed by the family can also submit a confidential image of the form with the request to speed up the approval process.
Supervisor Approve/Deny Requests
Supervisors can approve requests directly through the app. They won’t have to go to the website if they don’t want to. When a new request comes in from someone from their team, they’ll receive a notification and be able to quickly approve, edit or deny it.
Close A Request
Agency workers will also have the ability to quickly and efficiently close a request, just as easily as they submitted it.
Update or Add Notes
Agency workers will have the ability to update requests or add notes directly in the app.
Chat with Responders
Agency workers will now be able to communicate with responders through the chat feature in the app and it will send it out to responders through their preferred contact method. You can even call them through the app if you want to. Agency workers will no longer have to dig around for responders’ contact information. It’s all right there in the app!
Get Help and Support
A help feature is also included in the app, so workers will not have to leave it to find support.
Built In Training
Training is a necessity. All of our training materials are built into the app so agency workers will never have to go somewhere else to figure out how CarePortal works and learn what to do next.
We know being an agency worker is a thankless job that needs to be celebrated, so we created the Joy Wall to share messages of encouragement with agency workers. We want to remind them that they are not alone and what they do REALLY matters.
